How can I get my Xbox 360 Forza 3 saved games and redeem code onto a new Xbox?

I recently moved to a new Xbox 360 and want to move my Forza 3 saved progress. Also when I tried to redeem to code that came with the game, it says it's already been redeemed. Is there no way to transfer to a new Xbox? How can I get my Xbox 360 Forza 3 saved games and redeem code onto a new Xbox?
you can transfer by either putting the hard drive out of the old xbox and in to the new one unless its a slim, in that case you are going to need

?USB Thumb Drive (8 or 16GB recommended)

?Microsoft Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit (Optional)

?Computer with access to Xbox.com for License Transfer ( not sure if you'll need this its for some people)

now how to do it.

1.Insert the USB thumb drive into the old Xbox 360.

2.Navigate to “System Settings – %26gt; Memory”.

3.Choose your Hard Drive.

4.Select the files you want to transfer and copy them to the USB thumb drive.

5.Repeat this process until all your files are moved from the old Xbox to the New Xbox.

Hope that helped.

Now for the redeem code, there is no way to redeem it on another xbox, BUT you can redeem your xbox live account therefore having the redeem code on the new xbox. to do it press the xbox button ( make sure you are signed out) then go to recover gamertag and put in your credentials for the account ( email address password etc.) then it will download your account from the xbox live servers ( this does not download saved data only achievements and redeemed codes and so forth).

And once agian hope this helped :P

Yet agian hoped this helped. How can I get my Xbox 360 Forza 3 saved games and redeem code onto a new Xbox?
No way you can transfer the redeem code, unless you moved the HDD onto the new xbox. (Therefore moved you xbox live account from the previous xbox onto the new one) Or you can transfer the saved games by using a usb.

Can I use an old Xbox 360 powerbrick with a newer Falcon chip model xbox?

Can I use my old Xbox 360 203Watt powerbrick with a newer Falcon chipset/Hdmi xbox. The falcon chip hdmi not the newer newer Jasper chipset. Can I use an old Xbox 360 powerbrick with a newer Falcon chip model xbox?
No, the connection is just a little different. It doesn't look like it is, but when you try to connect it to the unit, it won't.Can I use an old Xbox 360 powerbrick with a newer Falcon chip model xbox?
yes, it will probably be more efficient than the old one too because it has the capacity for more power, but you're only using about 2/3 of that (at least that's how it is with pc power supplies) It will definately work though. Can I use an old Xbox 360 powerbrick with a newer Falcon chip model xbox?
It will NOT work, the connector has a different pin, and since the old power supply is a 203w like you said, it would be too much power for the motherboard that only needs 175w of power.

No other wireless adapter works in the usb aside the 360 adapter, however there are several that use the Ethernet port, including the original xbox wireless adapter.

  • How do you transfer memory from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a different one?

My Xbox 360 recently got the rrod so i've now bought an xbox elite. I still have a lot of memory from my old hard drive (a 20gb one) and was wondering if it was possible to transfer the memory from my 20gb hard drive to my new 120gb hard drive.

Thanks! How do you transfer memory from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a different one?
The elite should either come with a transfer cable, or should have a voucher for you to send off for one. If they dont, you should be able to pick one up at gamestop or some place like that for about 5 bucks. Youll hook the new HDD up, then the cable plugs into the usb port, and connects to the old HDD.

I bought a 120gb HDD, and mine already had the transfer cable in the pack, so Im not just guessing at it.How do you transfer memory from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a different one?
you could buy a memory card at gamestop and transfer it. I think they have 256mb for 20$. It would take time but it would work. How do you transfer memory from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to a different one?
you need to use a transfer cable

What is the difference between XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?

I am wondering what is the difference XBOX 360 and Playstation 3. In addition, are they going to addition blue-ray technology to the xbox 360?What is the difference between XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?
    ps3 is better

NO WAY THEYRE NOT GONNA PUT BLU RAY IN XBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    - ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player

    - ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

    - online is free for ps3 not like 360

    - ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring

    - when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

    - playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)

    - ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p

    - built in Wi-Fi

    - xbox 360: 33% hardware failure

    ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)

    - rumble returns in spring 2008

    - you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD

(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

    Prices as of today:

    ps3- 80gb: $599

    60gb: $499

xbox 360(premium)- $399 (if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)
    PS3 over XBOX!!! SONN!

What is the difference between XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?
The 360 has better games but poor quality system. The PS3 is a good quality system but has less games.
    xbox 360-

A: more list of games, more exclusives, better online, great online games, decent backward compatible, and put stuff on your hard drive.

D: half the genres are shooters, still can't play all xbox games, xbox live is not free, and techinal problems with red ring of death.

    ps3-

A: decent list of games, cheapest blu ray player, good backward compatible, region free for ps3 games, good online games and free online without paying.

D: less exclusives, too expensive for a system, cannot play all ps1 and ps2 games yet, region locked for ps1 and ps2 games, and the online feel a little limited. What is the difference between XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?
This is my cut and paste answer. The reason for that is because a tech info is a tech info, you can't beat it.

PS3 will win the console war, no doubt. Xbox 360 and Wii are so weak from technological point of view, that in couple of years they won't be capable of dealing with serious graphics. GTA IV, for instance, isn't even announced for Wii - this toy won't be able to cope with the game's requirements. Xbox 360 is getting GTA IV, however, the game is going to be released on several DVDs - Xbox 360 owners will have to interrupt gaming process and switch discs (Rockstar complained about this issue). Only PS3 will have it on single BD-DVD.

    Let's compare PS3 and XBOX 360:

A third of XBOX 360 (33%) are malfunctioning right from the start. PS3 return rate is only around 0.2%.

    PS3 has 8 (7+1) kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3.

PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 54 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular dual layer DVD-9 (8.5GB). It's possible to get HD-DVD (max. - 30GB) for 360, but it'll cost you around 180$, in this case Xbox is going to be MUCH more expensive, than PS3.

    Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second

    Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second

PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in 4 slots card reader (except 20GB and 40GB versions), ability to use printer and so on.

Xbox 360 has USBs and only 2 memory slots.

PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers

    Xbox 360 - up to 4 Controllers

    PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)

    Xbox 360 - wi-fi will cost you around 100 $

Graphics are stronger in PS3, due to RSX chip, that was developed by Nvidia exclusively for PS3. To estimate its power (roughly) - take 6800 Ultra nvidia graphics card, multiply it by 2 - get a result, still PS3 stronger, because 6800 Ultra runs on 400 Mhz and RSX runs on 550 Mhz.

PS3 uses technology from AGEIA company. It does to physics of the game same thing GPU (videocard processor) does to graphics. This thing is on sale for PC(special card). The price is around 350$. There is no such thing in 360.

Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of death" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 8 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it. That's why in some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".

Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is an uninventive nerd (as usual).

When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.

In 2008 PS3 will get more than 300 games, including Metal Gear Solid 4, The Agent and other great exclusives. Here is the good link to the future PS3 releases. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html...鈥?/a>

PS3 online is free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.

There were reports, that 360 scratches discs. No reports on that in PS3.

The funniest thing, that right now there are no games for PS3, that show full potential of the console. Biggest games weigh only 25 GB (Xbox 360 will need more than 3 discs even for those).

On PS3 you can install other OS, such as Linux Yellow Dog, Ubuntu and others. Sony officially lets you do it. There is no such thing in 360.

PS3 HDD can be replaced easily with any 2.5" SATA 5400 RPM HDD (used in laptops). 250 GB will cost you around 170$. In 360 you have to buy exclusive HDD, where 20GB will cost you 100$.

Sony expects PS3 to stay on the market for, at least, 7-10 years. Also Sony reduces price now. Soon there is going to be cheaper 40GB version of PS3.

Sony constantly upgrades PS3 software (free updates for OS) - you get new functions and improvements.

PS3 controller (sixaxis) has a motion control - you move controller - game responds. Wii has it, Xbox 360 - doesn't. PS3 controller is getting vibrocontroller soon (Dualshock 3).

On PS3 you can help sick people by running Folding Home project. Wii and Xbox 360 didn't even think about it.

New 40GB is coming with a lower prive between around 400$ and 400 euros (depends on the region).

I didn't mention Wii, because it's so weak, no point to talk about it. Leave it for kindergarten and casual games.
    Xbox 360

    +Good game library

    +Good online

    -Overheats easily 30% failure rate

-have to buy things like wifi adapter and HDDVD drive seperatly

-you have to pay for online

    PS3

+Solid system that has a very low failure rate 0.2%

+more features like built in wifi and built in bluray

    +online is free

-not alot of games out yet

-online doesnt have as much content as 360

No they are not adding bluray technology to the 360 it runs on DVDS. The 360 also plays HD DVDS but you have to buy a seperate drive.
There are many differences between the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Go to both Microsoft and Sony's website and compare the differences.
Xbox 360 = Better games , Cheaper , built with better materials , when you use it feels better built (Which it is)

Ps3 = Expensive , Not built well , Gets so hot it can be used as a grill (Prov en by Sony)

How much would I get for 14 xbox 360 games and 120gb xbox360 console?

I have 14 xbox 360 games like. Cod:mw2, gtaiv, borderlands, l4d2 etc good latest games and v good condition. Also a console which is about 7 months old but hardly used. Also my xbox live account which has 12 months gold live on it.

How much would you estimate it at?How much would I get for 14 xbox 360 games and 120gb xbox360 console?
It's nowhere near $750. Since the new slim has come out, the value of the used older ones have dropped. I'd say $150-$175 if it's well taken care of. The games range from $15-$25 depending on what else you have. Accounts aren't worth much unless you have a high gamerscore. Don't expect more than $20 for it. Try selling it all on eBay or Craisglist if you can. Game stores are going to offer a lot less because they're trying to make a profit. How much would I get for 14 xbox 360 games and 120gb xbox360 console?
the games are worth around 200 - 450$

the console is like 200 -300$

the live account you should delete - people can get info from it.

    so total is

    400 - 750$

Should I buy a new xbox 360 over the internet or send my old xbox 360 to microsoft?

My xbox 360 just broke and I'm planning to send it to microsoft to repair it. Should I just buy a new one or send it to microsoft?Should I buy a new xbox 360 over the internet or send my old xbox 360 to microsoft?
If its the red ring of death then theres a common problem with one of the chips overheating. Even if you can't be bothered to send it to microsoft, there will be people around who can fix it cheaper than buying a new one.Should I buy a new xbox 360 over the internet or send my old xbox 360 to microsoft?
If MS is going to fix it for free, why waste your money getting a new one? There's a good chance that your new 360 will also break so are you going to waste more money to replace that one?Should I buy a new xbox 360 over the internet or send my old xbox 360 to microsoft?
send it off dude its free if u have the ring of death , e74, fans are working , disc tray is not working just send it off and they WILL fix it for free so don't buy another one when u can repair it for free SO good luck
