Does the black wireless controller of xbox 360 elite work on xbox 360 premium?

I bought xbox 360 premium console a week ago or so and I got a black wireless controller (apparently regarded as controller for elite edition) free with it. But when I tried to use it on my premium console it didn't work.

Did you sync it correctly. The black controllers should work with all 360s.



To sync, there's a little circular button between the shoulder buttons. It has this ))) symbol. Press it and then press the circular button (next to the 2nd controller input) on your 360.

First of all there is a Arcade console, a Pro Console, and then there's the Elite console. Yes the controller will work on other consoles unless it is the controller that came with with an elite console (in the box with the elite console when you got it) it should work. To sync it turn on the console you want to sync it to and let the controller that came with it turn on and be connected to the console as usual, then hold down the xbox button on the other controller and let it sync as player 2.

on the 360 next to the power button, there is a small white button there. press it.

the controller and the 360 should sync up.

There's a button on the faceplate next to the memory stick slots... hold it down until the Xbox rings spin, at which point hold down the small button on your controller which is next to the charging slot... it's the small circular one NOT the Xbox button.

Yes it works, you just need to sync it.
