How do I get my xbox 360 to connect to the internet?

I have the 360 S. It has the wireless. When I try connecting my xbox to the internet, it connects to my wifi network, but after that it won't connect to the internet. Suggestions? How do I get my xbox 360 to connect to the internet?
What does it say when you press "More Info"?

Obvioously when you try to connect it shows you what its doing in stages:

Xbox ---%26gt; Router ---%26gt; Internet ---%26gt; Xbox LIVE

It will fail at one of these points and pop up a message saying its failed and will then give you the option of "More Info" or "Back/Cancel"

What does it say when you press "More Info"? It will probably say something about being unable to identify the DNS settings, it may be something as simple as an incorrect WEP Key, maybe you just put 1 letter/number in wrong, always make sure your WEP Key is entered EXACTLY as its shown (usually written on the router somewhere) so if its in All Capitals make sure you enter it that way, if its Some Capitals and Some Lower Case then enter it that way.

If its failing on the stage between Router and then Internet then its something wrong with your Internet and not with the Xbox itself, so try Resetting your Router and trying again.

Its always a good idea to enter your wireless info into the xbox manually, after you try and connect at the top there should be an option to Configure Settings or something like that, go into it and put in all the info below

IP Address - This is the IP Address assigned to your Xbox Console, if you know how you should set up a Static IP Address on your Router's configuration pages and enter this here, if you dont then just enter your normal IP Address, this is usually 192.168.1.1 or something similar, keep reading if you dont know this.

Gateway - If you know your IP Address then enter it here, if not then i'll tell you how to find it at the bottom.

Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0

Then in the next box enter -

Primary DNS

Secondary DNS

If you dont know any of this info then on your computer/laptop, click the Start Menu and type CMD into the search box and press enter. When the Black Box appears type ipconfig/all and it will show you all the info for your internet, write down the IP Address, the Primary and Secondary DNS and the Subnet mask (although this should be 255.255.255.0 like i said above)
