I have an old xbox arcade pro and I need to update it. But my 360 freezes every 2-5 min. So if it freezes while updating or clearing the cache will I lose any data on my hard drive or will data get corrupted? a good possibility would be that it is overheating! Check to see if it feels hot or so!
what you should do is take the harddrive out and see how it runs, if it runs like normal (no freezing or anything) its most likely a problem with the Harddrive.
If its a problem with the harddrive, try and transfer all the content you want to an external harddrive or USB. then go out buy a new one and transfer it all back!

most likely it'll just stop and you keep your data
but there's a small chance it could be corrupted
