With the new xbox 360 kinect consoles, is there still a red ring of death chance?

I heard that with the newer models of the original xbox 360, they eliminated the RROD. Is that true? If not, has there been a problem noted about the new kinect xbox 360 console (the actual 360 itself, not the kinect)? I am looking to get one, but after the RROD problems, I'm not sure if I should get involved into the system yet. With the new xbox 360 kinect consoles, is there still a red ring of death chance?
The new xbox's have the red ring of death removed from them. Instead they give you a warning that the xbox is overheating and will shut off after the warning. I have one of the new ones and had no problems.
To be fully clear I want to make sure you understand that the Kinnect is not a new console,it's only a peripheral, juts a type of controller. As to tehe RROD chances being greater with the Kinnect's usage? I haven't read/heard anything of that nature.

As to eliminating the RROD from newere consoles though;yeah, they did eliminate the RROD but what they did was decide to manufacture the newer consloes WITHOUT RED led lights.

The console can still suffer a deadly crash/freeze but it just can't turn the ring red anymore.

The article I linked states that Microsoft has done some actual work to keep the 360 from failing so there's a much lesser chance of teh RROD that in earlier models.

I enjoy my X-Box360. :)With the new xbox 360 kinect consoles, is there still a red ring of death chance?
Its not true they eliminated the red ring of death they just changed it to a red dot. Also if you move the new Xbox while it has a game or Cd spinning inside of it it will get destroyed and you will have to buy a new game.
Only if it overheats, which it shouldn't. Keep it on a open spot and you'll lower the chance of that happening. With the new xbox 360 kinect consoles, is there still a red ring of death chance?
the new systems have virtually no problems
