Hi,

That will explain your likely issueWhy is my xbox 360 wireless conection lagging when someone is on our labtop?
Sounds like a bandwidth or possible interference issue. It shouldn't get too laggy, unless you have a slow connection. For example, if you have something like a 3Mbps connection, and someone is watching YouTube videos OR downloading music or any other huge file while youre playing on Xbox Live, then you might get some lag. If theyre only doing something like checking email or checking their Faceook/Twitter page, then you should be fine. The faster your connection (Mbps) the more it can handle at once. I'd recommend you have at least a 10Mbps connection.

Also you should make sure that there is nothing that could be interfering with the wireless signal between your router, Xbox, and Laptop (e.g. Microwave, 2.4Ghz Cordless phones, etc)Why is my xbox 360 wireless conection lagging when someone is on our labtop?
your connection is being used by more than one thing so they are sharing your bandwidth lets say u have a 3mbs connection 3/1=3 then 3/2=1.5 the more things connected to your network the less speed your going to get.
