How to get my XBox 360 to stop dropping the wireless connection randomly?

Recently bought a new xBox 360 (250gb, if it matters). I got the wifi working like it should on it, and then it will randomly drop connection after a few minutes. Sometimes after about an hour it'll reconnect and then drop after 10 minutes. I have strong signal strength and when it is connected, it works perfectly fine. its your router! Everytime it disconnects unplug the router's power then replug it.
