How to transfer Xbox memory from old 360 to new?

My old xbox 360 broke and im going to buy the new slim xbox 360. I was wondering how to transfer all the memory and my gamertag from the hard drive. The xbox is broken so i cant transfer it on a usb or something.How to transfer Xbox memory from old 360 to new?
REAL simple. you need a transfer cable thou.

1. just hook up the xbox slim and turn it on. connect the old hard drive to the transfer cable and the cable to the slim

it will say transfer from xbox to hard drive or hard drive to xbox. then when you click on the right one a thing will pop up that allows you to manage your memory. dont click anything but just look in the bottom right and you will see a botton saying start transfere..bing just did it.
