Well, firstly, check if when you turn on your Xbox 360, the TV is set to either Component1 (if you have that option on your TV) or on Video1 or just video. If it's not, that's probably the problem. If that's not the case, then its probably the CD's. If nothing still works, send it to where you bought it and they should be able to find the problem at no cost or maybe a little cost.
i have exactly the same problem!! , my xbox 360 turns on but it doesnt display in the tv, but before that it looked weird as you said there were red / green lines. I then turned it off then it didnt work at all anymore. did you fix it, how?

Xbox 360???I know this sounds dumb but make sure that your t.v. is on the right channel, or input. If this does not fix the problem, you may need to buy a new set of RCA cables, which are the yellow, white, and red ones, they may have a short in them. If neither of these are the problem then it is actually in the counsil, and call Microsoft if under warranty, keep in mind they extended the warranty on the system to compete with ps3 and wii so check your receipt and call them with the date to see if you are still covered. If not under warranty just take it to a computer shop.
hope this helps
Sad to say but red and green artifacts on the screen usually lead to the red rings of death or rrod. There is a three year warranty so call 18004MYXBOX if none of the other solutions helped you. Also the turnaround time is around 4-6 weeks for the repair but maybe you will get one with the new heatsinks installed. Good LuckXbox 360???
first off did you notice when the power button is turned on if it comes up in the red? if it does there is something wrong with it go to microsoft.com/xbox. a lot of the xbox 360's including mine have a defect and microsoft will replace our xboxes for free. we just have to wait for about 2 months untill we received a new .one good luck
how is your console connected to the tv?
There are a couple of things that could be wrong.
1)Are you using the component (High Def) cable to connect to your TV? If so, make sure the little switch on the cable is set to the correct setting (HD or SD)
2)Turn on your Xbox without any disc inside. If the Xbox menus appear without a problem, it could be an issue with your DVD drive. Make sure in the "Settings" menu that the xbox is set to the correct definition for your TV
3)Make sure your TV input works, and that it is correctly selected.
Good luck!
well pal, buddy, as you can see the diminsions of your hardware are not up to the correct format of the database. you need a new one
Did you switch the AV connector from HDTV to TV that might solve your problem. Also see if the connector that goes into the console isn't loose
u got to go to game freak or if u have a warinty go to the place u bot it
