the elite has a mat black finish, come with an HDMI cable, and 1080p resolution, 16:9 cinematic aspect widescreen ratio. the console also come with a 120gb hard drive while the pro only has 60gb. so if you are not going to be downloading a bunch of stuff at the marketplace, i'd just go for the pro, but if u will be downloading tons of stuff, i'd buy the elite.
don't buy either one they will get the red rings of death trust me I know to youYouTubem and search xboXBOX0 elite and pro then search that again and then search red rings.

What's the difference between XBox 360 Pro and XBox 360 elite; and, is the elite worth the price?Get the Elite, the Pro can't get or do a lot of the stuff the Elite can. Plus, like the Arcade, on the Pro you can't get the Arcade games. But on the Elite you can get the Arcade games without the disc. Yes, definatley get the Elite, it's worth it

They are the only differences. General concensus is that the Elite is for suckers :)
Don't get neither you will be disapointed
Get a PS3 same as an Elite but better
