How do you change Xbox 360 normal profile to Xbox 360 live Profile on the new dashboard NXE?

Under my xbox where it shows your avatar and gamertag and achievements Press A on that and it says join xbox live that will keep everything that you had(achievements and game progress). Then you just go through the xbox live setup process
